Plex is gathering genres from online sources, even though the library is set to ‘Embedded tags.’
The embedded tag for this particular album is simply ‘Jazz.’ But Refresh Metadata did this (this is just an example – happens for all albums):
The screen shot only shows Style, not Genre.
What is in the Genre input field if you edit this album?
Seems to be working properly here. Same server and and player version (on Windows, though)
Still respects the embedded tags from albums where the tracks have different\multiple genres and compiles them all for the album genre
(yes, I may have gone overboard on the genres for the Forrest Gump album 
but maybe one day Plex will actually use the track genres).
I have no idea why it was only showing Style and not Genre, but I didn’t notice it. Today I see Genre and Style, and it’s correct.
