Plex is notifying of a new version, but when clicking download it is downloading an old version

I’ve been experiencing this issue for some time now. I get the orange banner saying the correct current version, for instance today it says:

“A Plex Media Server update is available for the server QNAP! 1.18.7.2438 Download now Skip this version.”

However when I click “Download now” it downloads “PlexMediaServer-1.18.6.2368-97add474d-x86_64.qpkg” and does the same thing on the settings > general section.

I have tried changing to the beta Server update Channel and back but the issue still remains.

Could really use a solution including an auto updater for QNAP if possible as it is annoying to have to visit the plex downloads page to get the latest version sometimes several times a month.

Edit: So after further review it looks like the reported version is the plex pass version while the downloaded version is the public version.
