"Plex is taking a long time to start"

Player Version#:5.1.2

Launching LG Plex app results in the “Plex is taking a long time to start” error. [Restart Plex] [Clear Settings and Restart Plex].

Neither options resolves the problem, neither does waiting to resolve itself.

Restarted both TV and Plex server.
Deleted and reinstalled the Plex client app on LG.
Successfully tested playback on other Plex clients on the same network.
Restarted LAN connection.

Ideas anyone?
