For the last week plex is taking 5 minutes to start on LG TV

Server Version#:1.42.2.10156
Player Version#:5.93.2

First it says Network Unavailable (even though it is) I leave it and it clears.
Then LG says plex startup is taking a long time to start.I have tried to restart but doen’t help so I just leave it.
5 minutes after first start plex comes up.
I have also noticed when switching from one episode to another it takes forever to update the description.
I have tried hard reset on TV and wireless router but didn’t help

Firstly look at your DNS. Change it too 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 in your router. Then restart everything, Server Router, ISP connection box, TV.

I should have said, other devices on the same network are working fine

Anyone able to offer any suggestions.
I have tied it down to 2 minutes saying no network then 2 minutes for plex to show anything. Sounds like 2x timeouts but can’t see anything in the logs

So is this saying that even though I have told the plex for LG client to go
directly to my internal server it is insisting on going out to the internet and
back in to talk to my server?
This could explain why it is taking 4 minutes to start!
I want it to go to my internal server first and foremost!

Still trying to solve this

Me too :).

Recently added a friend to my Plex server and she’s using the following LG TV; 55UK6300PUE.

The Plex app on there absolutely CRAWLS. When she has some time, I’m going to try to walk her through a few things or stop by her house and take a closer look.
