As the title says, when I do click the “Play” button of a movie and having enabled the cinema trailers to play before movies, Plex will play a trailer of a random movie from my server, instead of the trailer for the specific movie that I’m trying to play.
This is weird. But before criticizing or asking for a solution, I must know if this behavior is intentional, or is it anomalous behavior. In case of it is intentional then there is no problem to solve, but I can’t understand its reason for existing, since I insist it seems absurd to me that a completely random trailer is played instead of the trailer of the movie that I am about to play.
that’s the expected behaviour, when you enable this, it will play a (specified) number of trailers for movies in your library. Just like in the cinema.
Cinema Trailers
Once you have those extras (and especially trailers) in your library, you can do cool things. The “Cinema Trailers” feature is designed to let you watch movies with an experience more like a real cinema. When you start playing a movie, instead of the movie starting immediately, you can have some trailers automatically play before the movie. It’s like going to a cinema theater without the sticky floors!
