Plex issues with round robin multi-wan

Sever Version#:1.19.1.2645
Player Version#:7.30.2.16712

Since installing a 2nd WAN on pfsense - I have noticed issues with accessing media on same network as media server.

Im not sure what logic is being used to decide if it should go remote or internal?
any chance each device is checking before each playback to see if external IP is the same that plex cloud has? based on that then either going remote or local.

because sometimes local play backs dont have orginal quality and can buffer.
I actually suspect the playback is going over wan2 back to wan1.

Anyway that all aside.
I would like my plex docker image to be issued its own lan IP - so I can route traffic out one wan to resolve above. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Well use NAT give your local PMS server a RFC1918 and weigh down your second WAN to act as a back up and not to be load balanced. I do not know of any reasons you would load balance 2 seperate internet pipes. I sure know of a lot of issues it would cause. round robin is good internally but externally like WAN I am not sure the advantages.
