PLEX keeps asking me to Reset All Customizations

Almost every time I finish playing something, upon returning to what should be the Home screen I am greeted with the grey Personalize Your Home Screen message. It constantly wants me to reset my customizations, despite the fact that there have been no changes to the library structure or any other thing besides added or removed content which should not affect it. Individual Libraries continue to display fine in all 3 views, so it is clear that the player and server are talking.

I have two choices when this happens:

  1. Reset All Customizations (obviously)
  2. Force stop the app, clear the cache, and then relaunch. Restores Home screen as it was.

Any thoughts on how I can get it to stop?

Nobody, really?

Further testing has shown that i can restore the automatic functionality of the Home Screen by simply reordering one of the pinned libraries. Not that this constitutes a fix, just an observation.

I would very much appreciate anybody’s input here.

Having the same problem as well, but haven’t been able to come up with a fix for it yet. Very frustrating as it seems to happen randomly. I’ve noticed that since this started my server has been struggling with files it played absolutely fine before.

Yeah, I’m not having any playback problems. Just the Home Screen issue. Really frustrating when things like this happen and we have no source for actual solutions. I’ve been a Plex Pass subscriber for more years than seems reasonable, and just once I’d like to see a problem get addressed promptly by one of the many Plex employees who do in fact browse the forums.
