Plex Keeps Buffering

Plex has always worked very well for me until recently. Occasionally I would experience remote access issues and it was typically just a matter of making sure firmware and computer were both up to date.

I spent that vast majority of my one day off today trying to figure out how to fix this issue, but to no avail I have failed. My cpu is really old. However, I completely rebuilt it and did an icore7 and added an SSD for the OS about 4 years ago. I do not think the problem stems from my computer, but everything I have read is that the transcoder uses the CPU and I wonder if maybe it might be the computer, but that would be odd if it has always worked flawlessly and now all of the sudden it doesn’t…

Anyhow, one of the articles I read online said to enable Verbose Logging in order to record transcode speed, then turn it off. I did do that and through the mess of language that I don’t understand, I saw a lot of repeat of the same wording: “Transcode runner appears to have died”

I also did a search for the word ‘speed’ and literally nothing came up so I never actually found anything useful that I was originally searching for.

Is this normal or is something messed up? I’m technical enough that I have a general understanding, but this is way beyond me at this point. Log is attached.
