Plex Keeps Deleting Restored Video Files

For a couple of TV shows I save, there are two TV shows folders that I accidentally deleted some episodes from (yes I do follow a Plex naming standard) and are now trying to restore the missing video episodes from backup files I have for the two shows. All deletions were done through the Client (FireTV or the Web client).

I’ve been trying to restore the deleted files back to the Plex folder they belong in, but when I check the next day, the files are gone again. I’ve tried doing the ‘Plex dance’ a few times and turned off the deletion capability in PMS, but that didn’t help.

What do I need to do to restore/reload the deleted files so Plex doesn’t delete them?

Go to the top level of this tv show.
Edit it
go to the ‘Advanced’ tab
set ‘Keep’ = ‘All Episodes’
and ‘Delete episodes after playing’ = ‘Never’
