If DNS/IP are set to be obtained automatically, DHCP (inside ipv4 adavanced settings) won’t change from ACTIVE.
I quit (for today). Tks, my friend

That’s what I want you to change.
Inside the computer only.
What OS are you using. I have Windows and Linux. I’ll take some screenshots if I can to help.
Win 10 (1607 version)

Computer = 192.168.0.10
Modem = 192.168.0.1

Easy to do it, but…no internet after saving/restarting it. ![]()
Updating…
I could manage to have internet work using manual settings (TV was using the IP ending with 0.10)
My Plex (TV client) is not able to find the server (my laptop)! I guess I’ll uninstall/reinstall it from scratch. Any manual settings inside Plex? It used to work almost flawlessly, but the last few days were baaaaaaad
Check your firewall please. That’s what it’s sounding like.
PMS needs some firewall ports open for inbound connection from the TV (so it can find PMS).
Firewall allows all Plex entries
I can see something about port 32400 @ remote access tab/menu only
Please check the UDP port numbers listed in the support article. If these are not open, your TV will not find your server.
Also, with port 32400 open in your firewall, did you also open the port in your router and forward it to the IP of your computer? This is also a required step if you manually specify port 32400.
I’ve just added my TP-Link 941N as a router. Now, the Humax is just a modem (no router anymore). I’ll start to figure how to open/direct ports.
My android phone can find the server (my laptop), but it starts shuttering a few seconds after playing a 1080p 12Mbps movie (Finding Dory). Is that related to my router speed (capable of 300mbps) or opening ports should help/solve that?
If it’s finding the server and playing, the ports are open.
Now you have to determine if the problem is a) the cpu is powerful enough to transcode the video fast enough to keep up with playback or b) the network is fast enough.
Wow…router is a TL-WR941ND. Teorically capable up to 300Mbps.
My laptop is a ok setup, I guess. It’s a i5-5200U + 8GB DDR3 + SSD + 920M offboard video
Sorry about my bad English, btw.
