Hello,
I have a Synology DS220+ NAS on which I have movies and watch them on my TV with Plex.
Now I found out that Plex makes sure that my NAS does not go into sleep mode. Sometimes my NAS is in sleep mode and then it is woken up from sleep mode by Plex.
How can I change this so that Plex does not unnecessarily wake my NAS from sleep mode or makes sure that it cannot go into sleep mode?
turn off Plex when you want the syno too sleep.
Plex, as it is a Media Server will always poll the disks, network etc. as it need to check everything is in order to be able to serve the media to anyone at any time.
Can I set it somewhere that Plex doesn’t have to check all day and keep the NAS awake?
Nope. Plex is always doing something.
oke bedankt voor de informatie!
maybe not the place to ask this but do you know how I can make sure that plex shows movies that are not known? for example I have a well-known series and plex sees it but I also have blooper episodes of it and making off. but plex does not see them and I cannot get them to show in plex. I also cannot see my own made movies. I have also filtered on folders and I see the folder there but no movie
okay that is quite a hassle to get something visible haha. but this is only about something that is from a well-known series or film. what about my own personal films and series that I have made? how can I display them in the folder series and films?
You cannot. You need a separate library for that, to prevent Plex from automatically trying to find metadata for them.

I have tried but is doesnt work
What exactly doesn’t work?
oh sorry forgot to add. I have a behind the scenes episode of a well known series. I changed the name to like in the link you shared but it didn’t work. plex doesn’t see it
How is the file actually named?
Is it in a subfolder? If so, how is that subfolder named?
By the way, bonus content for commercially availabe tv shows can be added to a regular TV Shows-type of library. There is no need to create a separate library for that.
Plus, files which are named like a tv show episode (i..e which have that pattern S01E01 in their file names) are ignored in a movies library.
Maybe describe your use case a bit more closely, so a fitting recommendation can be given.
