Hi, I got very strange topic. I got several servers on my account because I travel a lot and it is easier to access my media via local plex servers and my laptops. On each of my servers I got also similar libraries divided by some criteria:
- quality (normal/4K)
- language (Polish/English)
- content (type of movie, tv show like action, drama etc)
In reality it creates quite a lot of libraries across all servers which is fine for me.
Recently I started to notice strange behaviour as some of my collections are updating LOCKED fields without my knowledge. At first I though I put wrong language as collection description into wrong library but now I see that for some libraries I update the collection description (LOCKED field) and within just a few minutes I got the old collection description back.
What I see in reality is that maybe Plex is confusing the same collection (based on auto collection of set of movies) between 2 languages. This is my hypothesis at this moment.
The 2nd problem with that is that Plex is auto changing some of the collection titles across my libraries. So I used to have in En/Kids a collection “Cars Collection” and in Pl/Bajki a collection “Auta - Kolekcja” and currently I got quite a mess across my libraries. In some of the English libraries Plex changed the collection titles from English to Polish.
The 3rd issue coming from this is that I got a library En/Kids and then there is a manual-made collection of short pixar films it is called in English “Short Films Collection”. In another library Pl/Bajki I got the same Polish collection “Krótkie Animacje - Kolekcja”, which is exactly the same in En or Pl. But suddenly in the English collection En/Kids I got still a collection called “Short Films Collection” on the items list. But if I want to add an item to this collection and I click a movie with a mouse Edit->Tags->Collection I see in the same English collection a dropdown list of collections but the name is not “Short Films Collection” but it is “Krótkie Animacje - Kolekcja” which is taken from different (Polish language) library.
So in general I think that my Plex completely messed up collections titles and descriptions across 2 languages across my libraries.
What I can do apart from re-creating my libraries? or even servers?
