This issue is not version specific. I actually saw the same issue last year, then I gave up on Plex to try some alternatives but now I’m back to Plex and I would like to stick with it.
I have a movie library in English and created another library, for the same files, in Spanish. Everything looked fine until I was going through a couple of collections in the English library and noticed the metadata and the poster was actually in Spanish… The only way I was able to fix this was to delete the collection, move one of the movies to a different folder, move it back to the original folder and the collection was created again with the metadata and poster in the correct language (English).
But I noticed that if I went into another Collection that was in English, if I also went into one of the movies in the Collection, this would trigger an update and suddenly the metadata and poster of this Collection would also flip to Spanish…
It’s doing this even after deleting the libraries in Spanish…
Any ideas on what is going on and how to avoid this issue?
