Agreed. I switched to MrMC running Plex for Kodi, but they only support releases pushed to the Kodi repo, so I had to switch back.

Nah, we watch the actual Plex for Kodi repo. This fix missed our v3.6.2 cycle, code was frozen when it hit. Everything is already primed to fire and we are waiting on one Store right now.

Yeah no worries. What I hadn’t accounted for is how short a period it is between your releases, which is pretty awesome.

0.1.3 has fixed my playback issues!

A year later I’m on the latest Kodi 17.6 and PfK 0.1.4, still getting Playback Failed on 4K video files. Am I missing something? The PMS player works fine on my machine.

Well, its still the same permanent “temporary” fix,
remove the speed limitation in settings -> remote access
