Plex Live TV - Spanish Telecast

I have noticed a handful of times recently where a show is being broadcast in Spanish instead of English. Recently it has happened during the following Occurrences:

  1. Steelers football game a few weeks back on a Roku Ultra
  2. Harry Potter today (11/4/17 at 5:20pm) on Freeform on a Nexus Player

I can’t seem to find any information regarding this. Is there an easy way to change the broadcast back to English or is this a defect that I simply haven’t found any information available online?

Bumping this thread. I had the same experience last night. It seems that Plex is automatically enabling the SAP button, but I’m not sure how to change it back to English. Here is the info so we can get some help troubleshooting:

Setup and Situation
Cable: Xfinity cable card
Equipment: HDHomeRun with Roku Ultra
Channel: ABC
Date/Time: 11/18/2017 @ 10pm (USC vs Cal football game)
Observed Behavior: The game was broadcasting in Spanish, but the commercials were English

Attempted Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Confirmed “Prefer audio tracks” is set to English in Plex Media Server > Settings > Server > Languages
  2. Also selected “Automatically select audio and subtitle tracks” in Plex Media Server > Settings > Server > Languages
  3. On the Plex Ultra device, and while watching the game, I opened up the Options menu (by pressing "*’ on the remote) and looked at the “Audio Track” option. There was only one option and that was “Default.”

Curious…why is this thread marked as “answered,” and how do I revert?

Hello ktcred,

I am not sure why it says answered. Literally as I type this, the Ravens/Packers game is being broadcast in Spanish. I still have no idea how to fix it.

Oddly enough, the channel is in English now. I left it for about 30 minutes and it pulled the correct audio track when I returned

I created a new thread considering this one is marked as “answered.” Somebody else already commented it, so there are at least three of us :slight_smile:
