Plex Live TV started off with 80+ channels, now there's only 40 left. What happened?

I noticed that a lot of channels have disappeared within a month after the release of Plex Live TV. What happened?

I live in Belgium. Problem with the copyright? Will there be other channels added?

I’ve noticed a similar thing. I’m in Australia and a couple of the music channels have now disappeared which were there only a couple of days ago.

Anyone else notice this?

I’m down from 80+ channels to now only 44 channels. One of the channels that disappeared is the Latin X Pop channel. It was there just a few days ago.

I live in Denmark.

Appears to be a licensing thing that’s being worked on

It will be good if they can fix this, it was nice to be able to put on some random music.

On a side note, there was mention a long time ago about plex using local music clips in the music library. Has there been any progress on this? Or can we set it up to have a music video library?

A bit off topic but yes… you can store music clips (or concert videos…) alongside your music or in a dedicated folder. Plex will map those to the artist and display them on the artist page. Some players will also show an indicator if your library contains a music video of a song next to that song. In those players you can also start playing the music video right from the list of songs (usually via the songs ... menu)

Same here. First I thought, how nice to have Live TV, but now it seems like always, useless and not interesting. We here in Europe only get the ‘cheap’ channels
