Plex login via my own internal IP just asked me if I would like to use google, facebook or e-mail?

Hi,

I just tried to login on my PMS using my own internal ip, and it asked me if I wanted to login using Google, Facebook or e-mail. I don’t want to use any of these. I want to use my internal password and my internal username. Going to this forum I just got the same thing. I didn’t accept any new terms, and I appreciate privacy while on my own internal network. Çan anyone tell me what’s happening here ?

Plex is turing their software into a data gathering tool that’s spying on us users:

We’ve been converted from being customers to being the product for advertisers. Welcome to Big Data!

@marcelhehle we knew this for years (see various threads where people warned about it) nothing changed the plan and unfortunately nothing will. Sad it came to that and sad we have no single privacy protection (which is a bit odd).

I get it. But the point is that I didn’t agree to it. And seeing that I’m a paying customer they have to keep the old service working, without the change in the policy.

Once Emby has a decent webos app, I am ditching Plex 100%. I’m fed up of this ■■■■ being forced onto us. I want a ■■■■■■■ media server that I can manage offline and not be forced into all this phoning home crap.

Plex has become trash and it’s alienating it’s users. I regret buying a Lifetime sub and contributing the development of this crap.
