I’ve deleted the entire movie library, I’ve moved all my movies to another folder and that I’ve created a new library. I’ve reordered the entire library and after a day Plex started to do duplicate all the items! Damn! I’m using PLEX for more than 5 years and never had a problem. Now it just doesn’t work anymore. It seems it is not compatible with QTS 5.x.
I’ve checked the files and items again and again and perhaps I can conclude that in my case the QNAP Snapshot feature is the cause of the problem. There is a directory / folder @Recently-Snapshot that Plex is keep scanning all the time…
This update also includes an improvement to plex.sh .
The improvement allows plex.sh fixes those cases when PMS fails in a weird/unexpected way (crash, for example) and leaves processes running.
The updated plex.sh handles these scenarios and more.
Tested with QTS 4 and QTS 5 as well as QuTS.
