Plex Media Player 2.0 (Raspberry Pi)

Hi,

Just wondering if there is a reason there is no download for embedded platforms like Raspberry Pi for PMP2.0?

Many Thanks
-Jonathan

Just came here to ask the same question. My current Pi PMP is at 1.3.11.758, and frequently freezes up. Since there doesn’t seem to be more work on version 1, I’m hopeful v2 will resolve the issues I see.

I guess embedded platforms are no longer supported by Plex, its almost half a year now till they released a version for it.

Educated guesses are much better
A quick glance at Plex’s GitHub profile and you can see it there, Plex’s fork of LibreELEC.tv lasted updated 14 days ago.
The interesting stuff appears to be on the dist-master branch. I’m currently trying to build PMP 2.6.x for the RaspberryPi, I mentioned this today in this very forum.
Hope that helps.
It’s also been mentioned a few times that they will update the embedded options at some point. I imagine finding a sweet spot between the faster moving 2.x branch and the LibreELEC updates, and dozens of other priorities is just taking some time. Hence why I’m trying to build it myself and see if it’s workable without too many bugs.

Looking for updates here too. Have PMP embedded nodes that no longer respond to media fling (audio). They’re visible as targets from Plex on Android but no response when chosen as targets to send the music.

Also waiting for 2.* for Raspberrypi.

The 1.x branch is really useless as it is now. Freezing and what not. RasPlex is no more. It really shouldn’t be this hard to get good Plex clients. Move over to the 2.x branch already.

(Like someone official is ever going to answer in this forum…)

But… for the brave there are nightlies for the 2.x branch here:
