Plex Media Player Audio not Synced over Airplay

Ran into a slight issue running PMP on a Macbook (Macos 10.15.4). I have the computer plugged into a projector, and I am using airplay to beam the audio to an Airport Express connected speaker. When I use PMP with this setup the audio is always trailing behind by 3-4 seconds. By contrast, if I open the Plex web app on Chrome/Safari the audio and video are synced up nicely.

having the same exact problem here. very annoying. have to play the file using quicktime to get synced audio…
