Airplay sound delay with Plex for Mac

I recently switched from browser player to Plex for Mac. When enabling airplay, the audio always syncs when using the browser player. However, with Plex for Mac it does not sync, and there is always a 2 second delay in the audio.

I’ve seen multiple topics describing the same behaviour, but there hasn’t been any answer yet.

There is no longer delayed audio peripherals since the Plex 1.107.1.293 update
