Plex Media Player crashes on launch

Hello,

When launching the Plex Media Player app (not the Windows Store version) my system freezes and the screen either goes black or shows some video corruption before app crashes and the system returns to normal. All other plex apps work fine. The only precipitating incident I can remember is toggling the app to fullscreen right before the first crash.

Close PMP.
Clean out the configuration folder of PMP.

Upon restart, you’ll have to re-connect PMP to your plex.tv account.
