what I tried
- unistalling PMP → reinstalling
- restarting the machine
- starting plex.exe as administrator
- Analysis with Microsoft’s DebugDiag Analysis Tool → result: contact Plex Inc.
As this is a fairly new purchase, I did not have the chance to test an earlier version of the app.
I have the same issue. The version I used before this one worked, and then didn’t. I then uninstalled that version, installed “Plex-1.39.1.2763-300bb607-x86_64”. Plex app tries to start, dies. Nothing in the log appears to be wrong. Rebooted. No dice.

Dropping back to “Plex-1.35.1.2632-c6783c78-x86_64” and it works.
I can confirm that 1.35.1.2632-c6783c78 is working fine. Version 1.39.1.2763-300bb607 still crashes.
