I unfortunately heard the news of discontinuing support for the embedded plex media player. If I understand correctly this decision was due to analytical data showing that this option wasn’t being used and more people using the app versions. I would just like to say I’ve been a plex pass member for about a year now and love it. I believe the lack of use is due to the lack of information. I personally had no idea that running plex as an embedded option was even possible. I’ve never seen it listed in the download section and would’ve done that from the start. I’ve had to resort to installing windows and running the app through there which it clunky from a HTPC standpoint “needing a mouse an keyboard to navigate”. All that being said I hope others petition and the plex team provide more information on running plex as an embedded option. Then reevaluate the decision to end the support.
