Plex Media Player on Mac: Exclusive Mode issues

When I playback FLAC in exclusive mode to my USB DAC (Topping DX3 Pro), there is a sample rate switch after each song ends and before the next one begins. In example, if I’m streaming a 96k track (entire album same rate), as soon as it ends, my DAC flashes “44.1k” for a second before displaying “96k” and the next song starting.

I’m not sure exactly what’s going on but I’m guessing this has to do with Plex taking exclusive mode of my DAC only on song play, relinquishing it, and then grabbing it again for the next song. Or something with MPV/Coreaudio etc…

I haven’t looked at logs etc… but I can provide whatever is needed to help solve this weirdness.

I suppose this could maybe be a gapless playback thing as it doesn’t seem to exist on OS X.
