The behavior with 2.58 is very odd. Video starts to play. PMP UI vanishes, sounds keep player, CPU usage at ~90%, entire mac becomes slow and unusable. Took me several minutes to navigate the UI to create spin dump and process sample in that state.
And for the sake of completeness crosslinking Plex desktop app crashes + kernel panic
Oh, didn’t realize these were crash dumps. I can’t read those, I’ll need to get someone else to take a look. I was looking for the PMP log after the crash.
And the iMac13,2 late 2012 ran into a kernel panic briefly after opening Plex Media Player with an external display connected.

Keeps crashing when switching to fullscreen. Report was sent when it crashed.
Video plays very laggy when window is covering complete screen. This is on an external monitor which seems to make a difference.
