I am also having the same media scanner crashes it was much worse with the sonic analysis as the entire plex was crashing and the ubuntuVM. That disabled i am still getting scanner crashed with the music scans although they are just .mp3 that work fine when played with vlc…etc.
Today’s Plex Media Server Beta release 1.40.2.8273 fixes a number of crashes relating to the Plex Media Scanner loudness analysis
- (Loudness Analysis) Some files could cause errors when preforming Loudness Analysis. (PM-627)
