Plex Media Server 1.0 for NetGear Intel 4.x

What happened to support for Intel 4.x for Plex Media Server 1.0 for NetGear? I have a ReadyNas Ultra but I am not able to upgrade to 1.0 since the ReadyNas UltraNas does not Support Intel 6.x.

Same issue here.

ReadyNas Pro Business. Intel 4.x not available via Downloads. And the Intel 6.x is a .deb, not a .bin as with what Intel 4.x usually had.

Hope this is just a glitch in the matrix, and that Plex has only forgotten about it.

Seems we’ve been cut off.

That was bad news. I quite recently invested in the lifetime version of Plex Pass. I think the ROS4 has worked very well as a server for Plex. Transcoding is something you can live without as I see it.

I invested in an entire NAS and the PlexPass to run Plex.

Bought a NetGear ReadyNAS Pro Business with transcoding in mind. Since I do use my server also when away from home, that was key to be able to fully enjoy it. It was at the time the only NAS within economic grasp with a 2.6GHz Dual Core (E5300). And disks for it, 6x3TB WD Red. An investment of USD1850 the time. Which is a whole lot of money, and not an investment I will be able to do again just like that. At that time I had some money saved up, so spent it all on this solution. That will teach me a lesson to not use my money willy nilly like that again.

However, since yesterday, I’ve come across this article, and will investigate it further. It might be hope still, albeit without support and/or warranty.
