Plex Media Server Backup

This question is for people who made TrueNas plex servers. The below links only helped with FreeNas and I couldn’t find “plexdata” files mentioned. I want to Be able to save to an external device, just for my own piece of mind. Thanks!

Is there a way to save the way your library is organized so that in the event you need to recreate it, you can do so from a “backup”? does that make sense?

Ex: All the time and effort used for saving movie posters and editing movie names, years(released), etc.

I’ve looked at the following links:

  1. Backing Up Plex Media Server Data | Plex Support
  2. Where is the Plex Media Server data directory located? | Plex Support

The directory locations are not impact by whether you are using FreeNAS or TrueNAS, but they are impacted by whether you are using the IXSystrms plug-in or just have Plex installed in a plain jail.

I don’t understand your response. I apologize. Pretty sure I made it a plain jail.
