I was attempting to update my Plex Server, but it wasn’t working. I thought I would uninstall the Plex Media Server from my computer (Windows 11) and reinstall it.
When I try to reinstall, however, I get the message: “Previous installer data found without “UninstallString” value. Please remove Plex Media Server manually first.”
I have looked at all of the forums on here and tried the solutions, but nothing works. The Microsoft Fix It tool uninstalls PMS and “Stop Plex” but it does not help when I try to reinstall it. I have scoured the registry and deleted everything related to plex, or pms, or pms.msi, or pms-shutdown.msi.
I have installed the 32 bit version, which installs, but then fails to connect (followed all those trouble shooting steps to no avail either).
I’m fully stumped and have no idea what to try next.
