I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing seems to work.
Edit: It just shows an “Error: Error” window when the PC starts or whenever I close and try to reopen it.

If you remove the device and reauthorize it, that will fix your problem.
Sorry applejax, I’m afraid that didn’t work. I deauthorised all devices from Plex and Plex Media Server and reinstalled Media Server for good measure, but I still get an Error on start.
Trumpy, I’m afraid I can’t get media server logs because the program does not launch at all. It just comes up with a generic “Error” pop up window and that’s it.
Given Windows 11 is right around the corner, I hope Plex come up with a solution quick, or they’re going to have a lot of unhappy customers!
I am having the exact same error as the OP. No error logs are created, PMS just fails to launch and displays Error: Error. This is on Windows 11 as well which was officially released today. I also tried uninstalling and installing with no luck.
Hey, so I don’t know if this applies to you but I fixed my issue. Turns out the external drive where I was storing my Plex library information had become disconnected. Maybe this is the case with you, good luck.
Good to hear you resolved your issue. I had some major issues with Windows removing a few of my hdds after updating to Win11. Didn’t end up getting them back but recovered some data at least.
So if the Plex files were on there, how would I prevent a new install of Plex from looking for those now deleted files?
