My media server won’t launch, I tried installing it again, launching for program files, google has produced no help, accessing the address of the server just gets to the web app. I do not have the option to add a library in the web app and when I try to accses the "Your media " are it tells me to install plex media server (which i obviously have installed ). This has been an issues for quite a while and I’ve neglected taking care of it. Help?

I have this same issue. Windows 11 Plex Media Server will not launch under any circumstances. I’m not able to download any media to my iPhone, but strangely, newly added media is showing up on the browser Plex player so it must be running in the background on my Windows 11 machine.
The issue actually started way before I upgraded to windows 11. I’m surprised that no one is willing to reply from the support team, this is a issue I heard other people have as well.
I have this same issue checked the windows registry to see if there is an entry for this key KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\LocalAppDataPath
This path does not exist
Checked in the windows application event for any plex crashes nil reported
See the support article below. You delete certain Windows registry entries, placing the server in an unclaimed state. You should then be able to re-claim the server.
A bit delayed of a delayed response since I didnt get a notification, but yeah that worked! Thank you so much!
