Plex Media Server doesn't open on macOS Monterey

Server Version#:1.24.5
Player Version#: 1.35.1.2632-c6783c78
After updating to macOS 12 Monterey, Plex Media Server no longer opens. I have deleted, downloaded and installed several times and no joy. I have looked at permissions and they seem fine. I have looked over privacy and security settings and Plex server is correctly checked off. Activity monitor shows no Plex server activity and the program doesn’t appear on the menu bar. The program seems to crash without any errors or feed back. Is there a compatibility issue with Monterey 12.0.1? Suggestions

Anything in your Plex Media Server’s logs that indicates if it’s an issue during the startup (vs. a more generic issue where the app crashes / doesn’t start in the first place)? – see Server Logs

What does this mean and how do I rebuild the database?

It means your database is toast.
Did you restore your server from a time machine backup? Given Time Machine backs up stuff as it finds it, there can be discrepancies in such backups.

Here’s the guide on how to (attempt to) repair the PMS’ database

Replaced the corrupted com.plexapp.plugins.library.db with an earlier time machine back and the Plex Server came back on line. Thank you for your assistance!

Hello
I dont understand Why I have to come here and find a solution to a plex server that is not working with Monterey 12.0.1
I pay for this app and I got mumu
This is not acceptable
You promise DTM and is not there is a big lie

Any help will be appreciated

Any help for what?
Still trying to decide if this is a rant or if you’re looking for help

Also… what is DTM and where is it missing?

I need some help for sure
I click on the icon app and is go top on bar and very quick goes out
I cant lunch de server app , and I dont know what happened

Not sure what your saying but try the following. Launch your Plex Server from a Browsers address bar with the following address.

https://app.plex.tv/desktop

If you can (briefly) see the Plex icon in the Mac’s menu bar, there should be some activity from your server that reflects in the server logs. You can collect those manually by creating an archive of Plex’ log folder (see instructions in the linked support article on how to collect them → ~/Library/Logs/Plex Media Server/).

If there’s no logs you can try the following:

  1. open your /Applications/ folder in Finder
  2. right click the Plex Media Server app and select Show Contents from the context menu
  3. navigate to `Contents/MacOS/
  4. open the Terminal app
  5. drag Plex Media Server from #3 into the terminal window and press return

This should show error messages from macOS for the failing startup.

Ok , tnx
Error: Unable to set up server: sqlite3_statement_backend::prepare: no such table: schema_migrations for SQL: select version from schema_migrations order by version (N4soci10soci_errorE)

What to do now ?

Anyone ca help me , what to do next , there is something I can do ?

Error: Unable to set up server: sqlite3_statement_backend::prepare: no such table: schema_migrations for SQL: select version from schema_migrations order by version (N4soci10soci_errorE)

Your going to hate this resolution a fresh install of Plex. Make sure you follow the instructions correctly, as there are different Libraries on MacOS

ok I will try this and coming back with news
Thank you
