Confirmed I also saw the two known issues.
Album artwork was set to the artist, but I think this was partially caused by #2 crashing.
Tried to scan in new files and PMS crashed. Restarting the PMS showed the files were scanned in, but the albums had the artist artwork. Clicking refresh metadata caused PMS to crash again. Loudness analysis setting was set to āas a scheduled taskā. Changing loudness analysis to āneverā allowed me to successfully refresh the metadata without crashing.
Actually, I think the not-first-artwork issue is a problem with the Plex Music Scanner or Plex Music agents, so it is still there. I started the beta on a different computer, scanning in a few files. With the Plex Music Scanner I can still get the second artwork instead of the first. Also, with the Plex Music (agent), I can get an artwork that is just based on the artist name and not the album, which is likely the problem with this last.fm service. (This artwork I can only see under āRecently Added Musicā, see next paragraph).
Anyway, a new library is created with the beta, but the page for this new library is not available. I see it on the left hand side with an attention mark, clicking on it doesnāt bring up the library. If I go to Home, I see that items were scanned in under Recently Added Music.
While I have your attention, I am wondering whether I can request a new feature for adding libraries: It would help me a lot if there were a user-specific setting under Advanced that you can just check once, and anytime you add a new library the scanner would have the same setting. As it is now, I need to choose, check and uncheck items up to 9 times each time, which gets cumbersome if you have a lot of libraries (I have about 40). I am not interested at all in any lyrics, or popularity, or upcoming concerts, or any such info. All I want is to use my local metadata and my embedded artwork. (I know there is somewhere a request new feature place, but things are hard to find in your fora).
Thanks

Thanks @drzoidberg33. Itās great to know it canāt be reproduced with the new code.
After your comment, I tested a bit more (with the regular PMS, not the new code) and found a few details related to this bug:
It seems to work correctly with a global music videos folder (as instructed here).
The bug seems to happen specifically with inline videos. When the videos are alongside the music files, itās impossible to remove an item from the Extras row once it has been added, no matter what.
I can confirm that inline video files do get removed.
Here is a test video I added.
I deleted the video file and refreshed the artist metadata. It briefly shows the video being removed with the trash can icon, then it automatically disappears after the metadata refresh is complete.
