Hello all,
I’ve encountered the above error repeatedly when trying to access the Plex server that I’ve set up on my atomic pi single board computer. I’ve actually tried setting up a server on more than one SBC, including my Raspberry Pi 4 8GB, and am greeted by the same error every time. When I check on the status of the server on the remote access tab, it shows the status as fully accessible outside your network. This not the case, however, as I am only able to access my media locally. The one time that I was actually able to stream a video, there was constant buffering, and the video quality was lowered to 480p. I have no firewall set up on this device, nor is there a VPN on it. The device is set up to prefer secure connections, but does not require them. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? The logs are pasted below. I wasn’t sure which one I should be looking at, so I uploaded the one that I thought would be most relevant. Thanks!
If the remote access page in your Plex settings say “Fully accessible outside your network” but you can’t establish a connection you’re probably looking at the ports on your router not being open.
Use this or any other port checking tool to find out if they are or not
I have a similar problem. Occurred when PR2100 firmware 5.18.117 installed. Everything worked Ok with 5.17.107 and 5.16.105 firmware that had previously installed. If I stop and start the app it works for a while. If I stop and start it I can initially get access on TV’s but it only remains good for a short while before stating it cannot connect to PR2100.
On the same network by the way. One TV hard wires one Wireless.
