Plex media server name not visible to devices connected to the same network

I am using the latest Plex media server version running on Windows 10. In the past my Android TV running Kodi can see the Plex media server and play the media successfully. But a few days ago, the Kodi suddenly cannot see the Plex media server. The same situation happened to my Heos apps that I used to play music from the Plex media server. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the Plex media server but it still did not work. Looks like the Plex media server is now not visible to the other devices in the same network. Any advice to fix this issue?

Are you using DLNA to access Plex or e.g. the Plex for Kodi plugin?
The latest update has disabled DLNA by default … so you might need to re-enable it.

  • Set the DLNA server feature to be turned off by default. It can be manually re-enabled if required in Plex Web’s server settings (#10530)
