Plex Media Server not seeing newly added TV Shows

Can anyone help me figure out why my Plex Media Server is no longer picking up newly added TV shows? This has only started happening since the last update and the thing is, all my TV shows are labelled the same way, Show - Season - Episode ID - Episode Name. It has never been an issue with this naming convention before. I’ve tried removing and re-adding the TV media folders and it finds the majority of shows but still has the issue of adding the new ones. I have even tried renaming the missing files to the naming convention suggested on the Plex Support pages but still, they don’t find them. The shows are all in mp4 format so I am at a loss as to why this has started happening. New movies and music are found without an issue, so this is just affecting new TV shows. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The server is running on an older Mac Pro running El Cap (The OS can’t be upgraded due to the age of the hardware, and it is only accessible inside of my home network).

Just wanted to say “me too”. Server machine is Mac running 10.14 Mojave.

This is nothing new - I seem to have had this problem ever since getting Plex. It can’t seem to cope with deletions. My only solution has been to remove the entire database and let Plex index the media from scratch. Not a feasible solution.

Sounds like permissions issues make sure new content has correct access permissions.

Working well for me on Mac OS 10.14.6 Mojave, Server version : 1.17.0.1709

By picking up do you mean not "seeing"showing or the metadata is not being applied like poster and summary etc?

I have managed to resolve it, although I still can’t figure out why it found some media but not others. In the end I had to remove the specific folder from the library, rename the files in the folder, which I had to do twice and then re-add the folder to the library. Mind you there has been a server update since this which I’ve installed so hopefully that will help in future when adding shows. Thanks for your replies.
