PLEX Media Server not starting on QNAP NAS

Hi all,

Plex server is not starting since my update to 1.24.5…

In the future, please attach the entire ZIP file. Debugging excerpts is not sufficient.

What I do see here:

Database schema migrations (schema updates) restructure the database and can take a long time.

There was a recent announcement about one such migration which took a long time to run.

Did you allow PMS to complete the migration or did you interrupt it ?

It was scanning my media files and during that the server became unresponsive, that’s when I decided to stop / start the plex media server in the app center…

So I guess I might have interupted something there then??

I’m going to try a server restart, hope that brings anything.
If that doesn’t help I guess I’ll have to try and restore the DB files?;

Correct.

When you do restart it after the recovery, Wait for the CPU to become idle before first access. Without knowing how much media you have indexed, it’s not possible to predict how long it will take but on your machine (the big QNAP), it could take a while

Thanks for the replies, restoring the DB files did the trick! Better be more patient next time when jobs are running
Indexing in this case also went quickly, though my library is quite considerable I would say
