So we’re two weeks since the public release of PMS version 1.21.1.3876, but the latest version for the Shield is still 1.21.1.3830 from the Play Store.
This seems to be a common theme for the Shield, where the releases for it seem to be forgotten about.
In the past, when I posted a message like this, the update appears in the Play Store the next day - leading me to believe that the Plex team forgets to push the update to the Play Store.
Can someone at Plex set a reminder to not forget to send the update to the Play Store when new versions are released?
Not sure the Shield gets “forgotten about”, more likely there are issues specifically with the Shield builds that are delaying it, but this information isn’t communicated perhaps?
Notice the latest beta build 1.21.2.3918 hasn’t appeared for the Shield yet either, but perhaps a little early to have made it through the Play Store process?
Would be nice if they just added a note in the release notes such as “no release for Shield because …” rather than keep us all in suspense

I don’t think Arcade will be included in the Shield version of PMS. It’s not included in Linux/FreeBSD either. It’s supported on Windows/Mac, I believe.
You are quite correct, I did not research my throwaway line sufficiently!
Nevertheless, still no new PMS version for Shield (sans Arcade) has appeared, and we are none the wiser …
Can someone from Plex, please give us more information?. Plex Media Server in the Google Play store is still on 1.21.1.3830 (released 17-12-2020). After that no more public’s or beta’s are published on the Play Store. But for all other platforms the publics 1.21.1.3876 (06-01-2021), 1.21.2.3939 (26-01-2021) and 1.21.2.3943(27-01-2021) have been released since.
Why haven’t they been made available for Shield?, there has been no communication in the past that Plex will be stopping the Server version for the Shield. As far as i know many people are running Plex Server on a Shield, so that will be a disappointment if that’s the case. Maybe there are some specific issues with the Shield version of PMS, but then it will be nice if we get to hear something about that or can read something about it in the announcements for Plex Media Server that the shield version will be delayed.
So plex employees, don’t leave us in suspense any longer:)
Not for me… unfortunately. Still no upgrade svailable, still on 1.21.1.3830. Maybe Plex needs to contact Google, looks like the updates they push don’t get released correctly for all regions.
