Server Version#: 1.42.1.10060, 1.42.2.10156, 1.43.0.10162
I can’t state if this started after the whole recent password update or if it was from updating to 1.42.2.10156. Either way, now the server will not stay running on my Synology DSM 7.2.2. If I click “run”, it’ll say it’s starting and then show “manually stopped” about 10 seconds later. I’ve tried reinstalling 1.42.2.10156, i tried installing the beta 1.43.0.10162, and then uninstalled the server (keeping files) and reinstalled 1.42.1.10060, all with the same result.
What do I need to do to get my plex server running again?
Nevermind, figured out that somehow permissions disappeared from the Preferences.xml file. This was reflected by “Failed to initialize logging: Empty or non-existant file.” being logged in the Startup Crash.log file (thanks for pointing me in that direction) . Modified the file permissions and now the server starts and is behaving properly.
