Is there anything I can do to fix the issue?

How do you know that it’s uninstalled?

The content of the folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server” becomes empty except “Resources” folder.
It happens for random period of time like a week.

Look in the folder C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server instead.
Newer server versions are automatically switching to the 64bit version.

Interesting. Would an update, specifically with version 1.40.4.8679 from July 9th (Windows), have moved my install from the “Program Files (X86)” folder to “Program Files”?

I do usually just update via the web Plex interface, so I guess it’s on me for not being more proactive, but you would think if install locations are being changed some sort of notification would take place?

And my issue isn’t that it moved, but my server quit auto starting via the Startup Apps. As I was looking into it I noticed the previous properties couldn’t find the Plex server EXE because the path of the install changed but it didn’t update the Startup Apps. I changed the regKey manually to fix the path.

Yes. The automatic switch to 64 bit was enabled around that time.
