Plex starts up just fine but wont open i am running v1.11.0.4666 plz help

i should have said what pc i am running Plex Media Server v1.11.0.4666 onit’s an hp 15 notebook windows 10 home amd e1-2100 4 gig of ram 64 bit os

Are you saying that doesn’t happen or are you saying that Plex opens in your browser, but you cannot find the server or … ???

What browser are you using?

Open your browser and type in http://Your-PC-IP-Address:32400/web (or you can type in http://127.0.0.1:32400/web) … does that help?

no it wont open a browser page…
i think i’ll check out that kodi

  1. Have Windows 7 and latest Plex server, Appletv 4k. I have downloaded, installed and uninstalled the server 6 times on PC. I have tried explorer, firefix and Chrome. Plex Server will not open other than the install/repair screen. I have tried repairing it also and ran windows trouble shooting. Still will not open. Have restarted, downloaded all windows updates available for 7.

  2. I have a drop box cloud storage I can use and/or back up hard disk. The hard drive I cant access from my Macbook Pro, only windows desktop. Also for converting DVDs I can only do with my PC. Can I run the server on my Macbook and have it access files in to dropbox or will the files be a different format since I converted the DVDs on my PC. The goal is to connect to the server through the Appletv?

@trumpy81 and @Dinamik i have windows 10 with latest updates the thing you posted did not help…

UPDATE i changed my ISP and that fixed it… CenturyLink was the problem i now have comcast…

@trumpy81 kodi works great but i still like plex…

plex really gets on my nerves every time my laptop drops interweb my xbox 1 has to be linked to my account again how can i fix this???

@trumpy81 you put me down for not giving more info but it is not my fault that you can’t scroll up and read what was posted in this Discussion so i have quoted here and interweb is another term for internet and i thought you were a tech guess not…

For those that CAN’T read I am running Plex Media Server v1.13.0.5023 on an hp 15 notebook windows 10 home amd e1-2100 4 gig of ram 64 bit os, v1.13.0.5023 fixed the problem
