Plex Media Server will not run

<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

I can install Plex Media Server without issues but it will not run. Instead I get a window that says;

Plex Media Server.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point curl_url_get could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Plex\Plex Media Server\Plex Media Server.exe.

Can anyone give me some guidance on what to do please?

Ensure that you are using a supported Windows version. Windows 11 or Windows 10 on a PC with x86 compatible CPU.

Thanks for the quick response.

I am running on Windows 10 and my system type ‘X64-based PC’ is compatible.

I have downloaded and installed (and re-installed) 3 the PlexMediaServer-1.42.2.10156-f737b826c-x86_64.exe file. Rebooting the PC after each Plex Media Server failure.

I still get the same error :frowning:

I can provide the log file if that will pinpoint the problem.

Is this a new PC, or one which already had Plex server installed before?

Now sorted thanks. After installation the server would not run, however task manager showed it was running and I was able to view media on my TV from the PC. :slight_smile:
