With the windows media server loaded onto my computer. Opening Plex shows via the dashboard that my plex movies library has no content. But indeed it has lots of content, bothe movies and TV shows. I can’t get it to see any content in my QNAP TS-251+ NAS and it did fine before my last power outage.
I may not be explaining it very well but the media server cannot find my movies. Please help.
Sounds like your drive letters got unmapped/changed or the mounts got removed when the computer came back online.
What OS is your Plex Server?
NM, I see it is in the server-Windows section.
So, are the drives still mapped with the proper drive letters?
Thanks for your response. I’ll need your help walking through to find out what OS is my plex server. The computer is Windows 10. As far as drive mapping, I not sure that is an issue. The two drives I have in my QNAP TS-251+ are just network drives on the NAS. When I look under Network I see a list of for my DVP Movies and under that is all the sub names to get to Multimedia and the Movies and TV shows. If I look within Movies I see all the movies I have previously loaded onto the NAS drives. The same for TV shows. It’s like the current Windows Plex server can’t see into my NAS drive.
I hope this help you to lead me further. I’m so new at this I don’t know how to trouble shoot this stuff.
David
What computer do you have Plex Server installed on? In your first post you say the computer is a Windows 10 computer. Is that where Plex Server is installed?
In addition, what version of Plex Server is installed?
Make sure you have static IP and port forwarding setup properly in your router. A power outage can cause your IP address to be reassigned causing the issue. You want to have your Plex server maintain the same IP for situations like this.
