Recently I get kicked out of a streaming session with the following error on screen:
Just what the message says, it lost connection to the internet. This can happen on either the client or the server. On the server side it could be if you have a VPN that you connected/disconnected or some other disruption.
In April of 2025 Plex pushed out new networking detection to support SSL and Remote Watch. Because of that it constantly checks the path to the internet. Some side effects are:
Docker should be run in host mode (yours isn’t)
DNS inside the docker needs to correctly resolve plex.tv and *.plex.direct (tries the wrong address because not host mode)
Custom entries on the Server Settings > Network page need to be correct. (You have an 84.x.x.x entry)
Reverse Proxies will make this a you problem.
This mostly affects the “New Experience” clients and TV apps.
Can I know whether it is the server losing connection to that address, or the client?
That 84.x is my clients address, and the other entry I put there was an address I noticed on the logs, which is my entry in my server host network. Are you saying this is not correct?
MyPlex: We appear to have regained Internet connectivity.
