Hi there, I’ve had a frustrating time with Plex’s treatment of my classical music collection over the past few months. First, one day (a few months ago) all my classical music from 1901 or earlier ended up with the wrong “Originally Available” dates. These dates had all been manually inputted by me in Plex’s album info, and those fields locked. When I look at the fields now, they still show as locked, but the dates are all wrong. This coincided with my transferring my Plex server to a new machine, so I assumed that was the issue, and I made a note to fix it at some point.
Since then, I’ve read at least three changelogs for server updates that have mentioned bugs that sounded suspiciously similar. I looked online for any forum threads on these bugs, but didn’t find anything.
Now, I’m trying to add a new album (an opera from the 1700’s) and anytime I try inputting a year from 1901 or earlier, it generates its own completely incorrect date instead. Please help!! It was so useful and powerful to be able to enter the years these works were originally composed, going back even to the 1100’s, and I’m sorely missing that functionality now :(.
