Plex mobile for Android - how to make playback speed persistent (Music)

Hi, I am using Plex to stream my audiobooks library to my mobile devices and I 'm primarily using Plex android app.
I love the ‘playback speed’ feature as it’s often worth setting it to 1.5-2.0 depending on the narrator.

Unfortunately, I am struggling to make playback speed option PERSISTENT, meaning that it is preserved between the tracks.

Current behavior: once set to anything above 1.0, setting is preserved only until current track finishes playing. New tracks - playback speed is reset to 1.x

Expected behavior: Playback speed is preserved (persistent) until user will decide to change it.

I am typically running Plex app in the background, not sure if this makes any difference.
