… I have recently developed an issue in that after the June 8 2021 update, I suddenly lost all my Movie Library functions on my Plex. My library files are still intact on my hard drives. I have noted the following: 1) the recently added movies on home page is gone 2) the search function for movies will show nothing 3) when I go to the movie library the entire library is listed but some do not play however, most do and the ones that do not play I can play the file directly with another app 4) when I go to the “recommended” list get a error message Something went wrong an unexpected error occurred. 5) when I go to my “collections” list all of my collections are there (graphics, summary etc.) but when I open a collection no movies are listed however, the movies are shown on my library and of course the video files are on my hard drive 6) I can’t empty trash on movie library however I can on all other libraries 7) I tried adding another movie 2 library with a couple of movie files and the library loaded however the files were not recognized in the scans … everything to do with movies is not functional but most will play directly from the movie library and those that don’t seem to mostly play on certain client devices. I have posted on Plex forums a couple of days ago however, no responses. I have done everything I can think of: uninstalled and reinstalled Plex… Change to other Drives… even did a system restore of my computer to back when all was working fine… restored a few Plex software past versions… even restored a March registry backup to see if that would work… moved to another computer and same issue… I am at wits ends! ANOTHER thing I did today on a different computer was to install Plex and create a new account including a Plex Pass… Everything loaded correctly until I tried to upload libraries… none would load: movies videos music pictures etc… I get this page: “Not Found We’re having trouble finding this page. It might have been deleted.” Which a google search led me to you. I love Plex have had going on 6 years now… I would appreciate any advise or help! Steve
Stupid me! My new Plex account is working on my other computer. I hadn’t verified the Plex email and when I did everything is functional with the few items I loaded into 3 different libraries. My original Plex account is of utmost concern … I have 6 years of data time and lots of effort and do not want to start over… my metadata file is over 50GB!
