Latest server update has broken 'Home' and 'Films/Library'

Hey Guys,

So since updating to the latest server version when I click on home on any player software be it mac, android, or android tv it simply says " Something went wrong. There was an error loading your home screen. Please try again in a few minutes."

Similarly if I go to my Films library and click on ‘library’ it says " There was an unexpected error loading this library. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems"

All other libraries and sections works, even the ‘recommended’ section of my Film library works, also collections and playlists.

Any ideas, or os this a known bug and I wait for an update?

Since this is happening on more than one client, it’s possible that your PMS database has become corrupted. You can check for and recover it using the instructions here:

Before doing that though you may want to just try resetting customization/restoring defaults on one of your clients to see if that helps.

Thanks for the advice, however unfortunately both solutions did not work. After resetting clients and going through the process of repairing a possible corruption in the database, I still have the same problem.

Any other ideas anyone, its very strange that in my films library ‘recommended’ works, so does ‘collections’ and ‘playlists’, but library doesn’t.

So FYI, I’ve managed to fix the issue by creating a new ‘Films’ library, adding all the same folders. This then built a new library, fortunately this brought over the same ‘played’ and unplayed’ data from the other film library. Once it was compiled I then deleted the old library. Doing this also fixed the ‘Home’ page and its now working again too. Only downside is that I had custom artwork which I have to re upload for everything.

I had no luck, creating new libraries ended with the same output, it says “This library is currently empty”. Only a few libraries work. Also the Live TV doesn’t work. It shows me the Guide correctly, but shows me an error “Could not tune to channel”. DVR is not working since March 31st as well.

Yeah I posted another thread but just noticed this one. Installed Plex for the first time and not going well. Only library it will scan is my Movie library. None of my Movie folders or TV shows will scan. Try manual scanning and spins for a second and nothing.

I finally fixed my problem with the help of Terramaster support (Plex engineer).
The libraries were corrupted,

  1. you need to stop Plex,
  2. then rename/backup these 2 library files:
    image
  3. Then use the latest backup files of those 2 files and rename them as the original.
  4. Start Plex.

Did work for me. Excellent support from Terramaster, I didn’t know they give this kind of support.
