I reinstalled Windows on my plex server. Before doing so I backed up the local appdata folder and the registry file mentioned in the server migration article. Once I installed plex I copied everything over from the backup. My TV Shows library is fine and working but my movies library just says unexpected error occurred. I can go to categories and play movies from there but the actual library won’t load. I don’t want to lose the order of what movies were recently added and watched either. Thank you in advance.
Your server logs might show some hints on what’s going wrong.
From what you write, the libraries are there but there might be some hiccup / glitch with displaying the library/brows section.
Can you access the movie library ok from other clients (e.g. on your mobile / big screen apps)?
It might be worth to try optimize the database (Settings > [Server Name] > Manage > Troubleshooting).
Yeah server logs are needed, could be something simple or it could be database corruption.
